Flowers and Quartz

The top photo shows a beaded flower hairclip. The centre of the flower is made with swarowski glass pearls and a crystal. The second photo is of a hairvine made with silver wire and rock quartz chips- this sparkles beautifully in any light and would compliment a bride on her special day.

Celtic Tiara Shapes

The above photographs are of two Cetic tiara shapes that I have recently made. As you can see they can be worn the traditional way as a circlet which sits on the forehead or they can be worn on the top of the head as a tiara.
The top shape is just wirework, very simple but it can be embellished with crystals/gemstones etc, and made with any colour wire (silver, gold etc). The second tiara/circlet is made with braided gold wire and has a rose quartz teardrop and beads to decorate the basic form.

Simplicity

Simplicity is sometimes best when it comes to hair accessories and above are four examples of very simple design. The top photo shows a simple flower made pearls and then below it, a set of three very simple pearl hairpins- perfect for complimenting a matching haircomb or tiara. The other photos are of haircombs that would sit nicely on any part of the head.

Bridesmaids in Teal

The six photos above are examples of work I did for a group of bridesmaids last Autumn. working from the top down, the first one is a brooch that will sit on the sash of the bridesmaids dress, a hair comb, a double stranded necklace, followed by a two strand bracelet, followed again by a single strand necklace and last but not least, is a hairvine. The jewellery is made with swarovski glass pearls and crystals, and the hairvine, comb and brooch are made with glass leaves, flowers and swarovski crystal.

Cz's and Pearls

These two sets were done for brides in two different counties, Donegal and Dublin. The first set (gold) is made with Swarowski glass pearls and cz's and the second set (silver) is made with freshwater pearls and cz's.
I will be posting some photos of a Celtic style tiara very soon as well. It's not quite finished yet and is for a Donegal bride who is having a traditional wedding but with all Celtic style accessories. She will be wearing a cloak with the hood for her ceremony as well- very different!

Necklaces

The above photographs are all examples of jewellery made for different bridesmaids. The topmost necklace was made to match shimmering olive green dresses, the centre necklace was made to match a silvery gray dress, and the bottom necklace was made to match rich chocolate coloured dresses.

Hairbands

The above 2 pictures are of 2 Grecian style hairbands made for the bridesmaids of a winter wedding. Both hairbands are made with swarowski crystal, czech glass and brass wire.

Feathers & Beads

''Do you have a website?'' A question that I must have been asked a thousand times over the last few weeks! Unfortunately I don't have one up and running properly as yet but it is definitely in the works. In lieu of a website I am using my blog to post pictures of recent work from now until the time I get the website thing sorted.

So here are a couple of recently completed hair accessories, one for a bride, one for a mother of a bride! The 2 above photos are of 2 completely different hairpieces. The one on the left-made for a bride, is of a handmade comb embellished with 4 beaded flowers. The one on the right was made for a mother of the bride, and is made with feathers, garnet, and crystals.
