Beaded Art 'Dancing Butterfly' by Jen Doyle
Hi everyone, we are now just past the summer solstice with little sign of decent weather- but the summer is not over so there is hope yet that we might get some more beautiful days!
One of the things I love most about my job is the sheer versatility of the materials that I use. Beads and wire come in many shapes and forms and there is SO much that you can do with them. I love when someone comes to me and says ''can you make...'', It's always good to push outside the lines and do things that challenge your skills- you never know what you might discover in the process.
The piece in the photo was made for a birthday gift. It could be termed beaded art, or beaded wall art, the mission was to make something summery and beautiful in ocean colours that could be hung on a wall- and there it is- what do you think?
